POP3 iMail Server

I am having problems with this using with Hotmail.

Firstly, some emails dont arrive till half an hour later, other times it's instant.

Secondly, I used to use webmail with thunderbird and that would actually delete the email from my hotmail inbox everytime I received the email. But because iMail isn't doing this i'm getting the same emails twice.

Can anyone help?

This is the nature of email.

Email does not have any kind of a "needs to be delivered to the recipient by a certain time" thing going on.

The only thing you're guaranteed when you send an email is that the electronic bits of your email arrived at your mail server (typically your ISP). Beyond that, nothing is guaranteed -- not time, not delivery, not integrity, nothing.

You have no control whatsoever about what happens to your email or when it gets delivered when you send it. While most email gets delivered in a few seconds, this is not a guaranteed thing. It just happens that way most of the time.

This is the nature of email.
