POPfile on Tiger

Has anyone gotten POPfile, http://popfile.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl , working on Tiger? They have a cross platform release written in perl. I have the Perl 5.6.8 on here and gives a shitload of errors when i try and run it. Is there a newer version of perl or some extension i might be missing for it?

Any help would be appreciated.

ok I tried installing some perl modules and went through the CPAN config.....but i can't seem to find 'make' anywhere on my system. I have been working with linux/unix for a while now and searched just about everywhere and couldnt find make.

Is it called something different in OS X? I am fairly new to the OS.
 
You have to install the developer tools to get the compiler and it's associated programs/files. It'll be on the Tiger DVD as XCode.
 
I have just installed Tiger over my existing Panther where POPfile was running and it is still working very fine.

Effectively, you need to install the Developer Tools in order to compile some package
