popunder ads

I'm using Mozilla Firefox on my PC and Safari on my G4 Laptop, and recently i've been getting hit with "pop-under" advertisements on both. is there anything to stop these pop unders from showing up?

i'm not sure what website's that this has happened on, but it does affected me every once and a while.

Unfortunately, some companies that develop these pop-unders have found a way to defeat the blocking used by most browsers today. I'm sure eventually this technique will be blocked also, but it seems as though it's going to be a constant battle.

Firefox 1.0.1 apparently fixes this problem.

I have noticed that too with safara mainly, i dont use firefox so i dont know about popunders and popups in firefox. Also pop ups have been coming up in safari - so i think apple needs to fix this soon.
