Possible Hint at Multicore for Mac?

A forthcoming Lightwave update will support multicore processors. I admit, it's a weak connection, but it may hint at not-so-far-off multicore on the Mac. Or maybe not. Hey, it's a rumor forum, what do you expect?

Well, Intel just launched it's dual-core processor today, and as far as I know, Lightwave is available for Windows, so...

Still, I have no doubt that Mac processors will go dual-core sometime in the near future.

I thought the exact same thing mindbend when I saw the news about the Lightwave update. But it does mention in their press release nothing about Macs and all about Athlons and x86...

True. I was just mildly optimistic given that it was a MacWorld post.

From what I gather, there are a lot of Lightwave defectors going to the MUCH faster and very Mac-friendly Modo (www.luxology.com). I will be one of them one day.
