Possible mime-type issue w/ Safari?

What's the best way of getting rid of Safari completely? (Dragging the .app to trash and some files?) Everytime I go to a Flash site, I get a broken link Quicktime icon. I've tried re-installing Safari and the latest version of Flash Player and still no go.

Please help if anyone can.

Drag Safari to the trash
drag the Safari Library folder to the trash from here;

user>library

drag Safari preference to the trash from here;

user>library>preference - com.apple.Safari.plist

thanks a bunch - worked like a charm. i also configured quicktime's mime type settings under System Preferences. Just couldn't find where to change that before.

Then went to Macromedia to download the latest Flash Player Plugin.
