40,000?!? Us Mac OS X users are a yappy bunch. :D

Julguribye: what program are you making your animated gif with?

This isn't really an answer to your question Jadey, but

http://www.animfactory.com/ has lots of cheesy avatar-style animations if you, like myself, are too lazy to draw an animation from scratch.

If you want to bake your own, VSE animation maker is a good shareware animated gif crreation package for the mac, but not OSX :o(

If you have photoshop 6 it installs imageready also, which can make animated gifs quite easily.

If you have any previous verions of Photoshop you can create each individual gif and then create the animated final product with "gif animator".Ugly , old software which is real easy to use.

Back to the posts...40.000 is quite impressive, but I find it even more impressive that nearly 10% of those posts are from AdmiralAK. I still have that suspision in me that he is the never sleeping spawn of that artificial intelligence mailing list I'm on...the most advanced chat bot on the world ;) But I think he already denied this....

Photoshop and Imageready have give you controll over everything, you just draw the frames you want and save as an animated gif. Little bit expensive if you just want to do that though...
