Power down at boot?

help. my G4 sawtooth sometimes powers off right after powering on ( about 3 seconds ) what may be the cause of this? Faulty power supply or maybe the motherboard??? doesnt do it when its been on a while. and only has done it 3 or so times the last month.

I'd zap the PRAM (hold down command-option-P-R while powering on. It should beep a couple of times) as this usually works for power-management problems.
