Power Mac G3 Works?

I meant, does Power Mac G3 work okay running Mac OS X Server? Or should I get myself a Power Mac G4?

I actually got the gray box version of the OS X Server, similar to the color of the Power Mac G4 prior to the QuickSliver Apple sell now. Does anybody know what version of OS X Server is that? Can I upgrade to the latest version? Is the upgrade free?

Have X server running on Beige G3/266

Lots of Ram and a fast HD(7200RPM) will do the trick.
Ist fast and extremely stabile.
