I did a search, and I couldn't find anyone that had a simillar problem to mine that was resolved. All of a sudden my CD/DVD drive will not read any sort of media. Blanks, Burned, or Software CD's will not work. I tried hat BurnPatch thing, and it said it did not need to be applied. So my Question is, what do I do now? Also, i have the Pioneer Internal CD/DVD drive.

New Pioneer 110 DVD burners are cheap and fast. Consider replacing the one you have. The other option is to try a laser lens cleaner.

Some of Apple's early DVD drives tended to be a little flaky, and often just stop working. Drives aren't meant to be worked on, they are meant to be replaced whole.

I've replaced 4 DVD drives for clients in the last 2 years... sadly, this isn't that uncommon (and because it is a purely mechanical issue, you wouldn't usually find much in the way of threads on the topic).
