Powerbook G3 Lombard (Bronze Keyboard)

I got this laptop through a series of people, and when i recieved it, it would not work. When you plugged in the AC adapter, the light would come on for a few seconds and then turn off. So i opened it up and re-soldered the AC plug on the little daughter-board that is in there. Now when i plug it in, i have to tilt the AC adaper upwards for it to make a connection but neither the light nor the screen come on. Do you have any ideas past getting new parts?

Thanks for the reply.... not 10 seconds after writing the question, i turned to the powerbook and the screen came on. But it is inconsistent. Sometimes it turns on and off without a hitch, others it powers up and then freezes once it gets into the OS (OS 9) and others it takes forever for the screen to come alive... i have to lower the lid and raise the lid until i see the apple on the lid light up.

I will see about taking it to the apple specialist, and thanks for hte links, i will try those as well.
