Hi.

I have a powerbook g4 12" 867MHz. This mac has 128MB Ram integrated and another module of 128MB.

I want to upgrade the memory. It uses PC2100 DDR 266 SODIMM.

The documentation says that this PB only can be upgraded up to 640MB. But i was surfin the net and ran into Kingston site. They're offering a module of 1GB for the same model of PB. This is the link :

http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/con...12-inch+(PC2100)&distributor=0&submit1=Search

So, finally, my question is if my PB will recognize a 1GB module? or i have just to add a 512MB module?

Ahh, another question, there are modules PC2700 that says are backward compatible with PC2100, could i put some of this module in case i don't find a PC2100?

Ok, i think that's all!! AT LAST!! :D

Thnx in advance!!

I'm certain that you can use 2700-type Kingston RAM without problems in your PowerBook. AFAIK, the 640 MB restriction was only there because 512-MB-DIMMs were the biggest available back then.
