I am having a problem with my Powerbook G4. It seems as though the computer is not recognizing the hard drive when I start up. I get a flashing question mark and smiley face. I have started up from several disk utilities (Disk Warrior, Norton Systemworks, and the Harware Disks that came with the computer) and none of them even show the hard drive as a volume.
However, if I keep trying to boot up my computer it will eventually start up normally like nothing ever happened. It shows no errors and all my files are in the correct place. To me it just seems as though my hard drive is working whenever it wants to. So far I have only gotten it to load the hard drive twice in the past two days. Do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what may be the problem or a possible solution?
