Powerbook G4 wont' turn on HELP!!

I have a Powerbook G4, plugged into an outlet in my home, yet it will not power up. Nothing happens when I press the power button? I just got this so I don't know much about it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Do you hear anything at all when you press the power button?

Do you see a color coming from the plug when it connects to the machine? You should see orange or green. If there's no color, then you have no power.

If you look at the underside of the PowerBook, you'll see a button with five lights. Pressing this button shows the batter charge. If you press the button and no lights show up, your battery may be completely dishcarged.

Remove the main battery from the unit and leave the PowerBook plugged in for at least 5 hours.

If a discharged main battery is installed in the computer, recharging the
backup battery may take up to 48 hours to completely charge. It is okay to use it while it is charging.

The color coming from the plug is orange.

I don't see any lights on on the underside of it...so the battery is dead?
