I have the aforementioned powerbook, which now upon startup does make the startup chime, but does not test the bus (the DVD drive does not buzz) nor does the screen light up. I can hear the hard drive spin &c, but there is no activity after that. Just hard drive noise and a blank screen, indefinitely. I am just trying to find the component that has failed to replace it (if possible). Thank you.
