Powerbook starts up but Stops at Blue Screen

Hi,

Just recently I can't get past the blue screen which shows the blue progression bar with "Starting Mac OS X" underneath. The blue bar goes right acroos and it just stops there.

I've held down shift to try start in safe mode, but it doesn't even get onto safe mode.

Please help!

Using the install CD/DVD, boot your PB and use Disk Utility from CD/DVD to repair your Hard Drive.

ok, I just rebooted using the install cd and it works.

But now I can't connect to my broadband wireless internet connection while the other laptops in my house are connecting to it, however my powerbook is connecting to my adsl account which is provided from my work.

Has it changed the settings??
