Powerbook Write Dvd

i am having trouble writing dvds on my powerbook g4. when i try to write using idvd it gets to stage 4 and comes up with the error message "power calibration error in area (0*73, 0*33).
any help would be appreciatde as it is not really my powerbook, but my works.
