Hello.
I've upgraded my G4 Quicksilver with a Powerlogix PowerForce dual G4 133 Mhz.
Powerlogix also supplies an appropriate software for CPU and cache settings (CPU Director): if I try to install this utility Mac crashes and I've to restart. Moreover, using utilites as "system profiler" or "informac" cache L3 doesn't appears

Model Computer: Power Mac G4
Type CPU: PowerPC 60? (1.1)
Number of CPU: 2
Speeds CPU: 1,33 GHz
L2 Cache (for CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 768 MB
Speed Bus: 133 MHz
Version Boot ROM: 4.2.5f1
Number of Series:
Number Order Sale:

When I try to install CPU Director appears this message:

"CPU Director has detected that the PLKEXT disabled itself at startup because it crashed trying to enable your cache. You need to verify that you to are using proper cache settings for your CPU card. Clicking Continue will re-enable the PLKEXT "

Obviously if I click "Continue" Mac freezes.
How can I set the cache and install CPU Director?

Thanks in advance

I've tried with Sonnet Cache Enabler. Now at startup (in verbose mode) I can see something like this:

Sonnetcache PVR........ HD.......... PClK.......... L2CR.......... L3CR...........

Is L3 cache enabled or not? (in System Profile it doesn't appears yet)

I've submitted a truoble ticket to Powerlogix 5/6 days ago, but it seems they don't want help me.

Response from Powerlogix Tech support (3-18-05 19:04:52 CET):

Usually this happens if there is some corruption in CPU Director or OS X. TRy reinstalling CPUD and if that does not work the only thing is to clean install the OS. CPUD is not really needed if the machine is running.
