Hi !

I am getting trouble installing Jaguar on a PowerMac G4.

- 256 MB RAM (I tried to take memory chip out one at a time)
- 1 disk drive with 2 patitions (One for Jaguar, One for OS9)
- 1 disk drive with 2 partitions for Data

Enough space for installing, no pb what so ever until I reboot.
I get the boot grey screen and a split second after that I get horizontal random white stripes going from left to right in the middle of the screen. It was working great with 10.1.5...

The mac will stay this way for life if I don't reboot it. No life on CD, hard drive or anything.

Strang thing is, that it work great booting from install CD.

I will try to reformat the hard drive (with data to zero) to see if it helps.

Anybody had this pb ?

Thanks for any input.

Regards

Ahhh!

I did repartition the whole drive, putting the OSX partition in first.

Nothing has changed !! Still having the blockage at boot !
Firmware is up to date.

Anybody have a clue ?

I have just reformated,
put the OSX on the other disk,
unplugged the disk drives,
changed their priority on the bus....

I am out of idea. I still doesn't work and I will downgrade.
