Powermac G5 storage capacity?

Hi everyone, my 2Ghz DP powermac g5 came with a 250 GB hard drive, it's already full so I was wondering if I could put another 300Gb S-ATA drive into the spare slot. I was thinking about this model . Any info appreciated.

of course it will work. ANY sata drive will work period. its a thing called standards so that you only need to buy either ata or sata. you have sata so buy ANY sata drive.. get it?

If you want future hardware inquiries then check out Accelerate Your Macintosh and then check out there drive compatibility search lasso and plug your info in it. Users from all around contribute hardware experiences in the lasso. Someone in the world probably tried the same exact upgrade you want to try.

blueandwhiteman, you can't answer a simple question without resorting to sarcasm and a condescending attitude. Everyone on this board knows the standards. Looking at the site where I intend to buy the drive, there are a number of different speeds, brands etc. Just wanted to see if anyone had good/bad experiences with it. Thanks Satcomer, I'll check that site when I get home from work.

So blue&whiteman is allowed to make sarky non-productive remarks and my post is edited? Great. Forums fail because of the kind of reply this guy made to a genuine request for information. If you haven't got something productive to say keep your mouth shut.
