PowerPoint crashing, MacBook Pro

Occassionally my Office vX PowerPoint will crash when attempting to open a PPT file. After that PP will not start or open any PPTs. The only work around is to reinstall Office vX. Anyone else experiencing this or found a fix?

Excell and Word continue to operate properly... no other problems with this unit... works great on Windoze too. Don
 
Before reinstalling Office, first try deleting the powerpoint ".plist" preference file. It is called "com.microsoft.powerpoint.plist" and you can search for it in Spotlight by clicking the Spotlight icon (magnifying glass upper right corner) and typing powerpoint .plist


Delete it and see if it's working again.
 
I did it now, and PP seems to be working. If it crashes again, I'll try deleting the PList to see if it will restart. I also make a disk image of PP and parked it on the harddrive so I don't have to carry the original disk with me for reloads.
