PowerPoint Navigation Woes

I'm designing a PowerPoint for a touchscreen kiosk. I want to loop a front Intro of four slides. When the user clicks Menu it takes them to a menu, which has its own nav options. However, if the user does nothing, I want it to go back to the Intro loop.

I am using the Custom Shows option to build sub-presentations. Everything works great except I can't get the Menu to "timeout". I choose "Show and Return" when choosing to navigate from one Custom Show to another, but it never returns. I can't get away from the Menu automatically (timeout).

The problem seems to be that if I choose Slide Show/Set up Show and choose Loop Continuously, the Menu (which is a 'Custom Show') keeps looping itself (single slide). So great, I can remove the Loop Continuously all or nothing, not for a given Show. This is fine for the Menu, but not for the Intro loop. See my dilemma?

Any thoughts on how I can get back to my Intro loop rom the Menu page automatically (and have it keep looping)?

Sounds easy, but PPT just doesn't seem to be able to do it (or user error).

Or how about this?

Is there a way to have a slide navigate from one to another without any interaction? I can't find a way. Like, if I could have slide #10 jump back to slide #4 (WITHOUT requiring a click), that would be fine. I could work with that.
