preventing a defection (emac sys software)

A friend of mine is about to get rid of his emac - it needs work, but he's lost the system discs. Since he can't find them he's about to replace it with a Windoze machine. Where can I download the emac system software? I can't find it at Apple.
 
Unfortunately, no. eBay is a good place to find system discs for Mac models, tho.
 
You can't. He would have to contact Apple and supply all the necessary information for his hardware. Of course, it would probably be easier to just buy a copy os Tiger and install it on that computer. Honestly, he can hardly blame Apple for his loss of the system discs. Besides, it's going to cost him MUCH more to buy a new computer with Windows on it than it would to just buy a retail version of the Tiger discs.

Or, you could take advantage of his lack of reasoning and have him give you the eMac. I'm sure he would probably regret it once his computer is riddled with spyware/adware/malware. ;)
