Preview and iTunes dissapeared

The other day, my iTunes app and Preview App just seemed to dissapear. spotlight cant find them and ive searched high and low for them. and i did NOT delete them. seemed to happen after i ran maintenence scripts, updated prebindings and repaired permissions, then restarted. have since downloaded iTunes but cant find preview anywhere!

any ideas?

No virus's either, have done complete scan
