I have two problems to work out.
I am helping a friend out with her Emac with OS X 10.2.4 and a HP Photosmart 7150 USB printer. I don't know much about Macs so Im left searching the newsgroups and web forums for info.
Problem #1 (Margins Problem)
Everything was working fine then BAM the margins of every document/picture she prints in Word and Adobe (all of adobes programs) Prints with weird margins.
It prints out everything with a 8th inch margin at the tops and a couple inches at the bottom. Doesnt matter which program she is printing from.
I have tried forcing different margins with in the programs but it wont take.
Problem #2 (Sharing the Printer)
Not only does she have the Mac she also has an XP machine. The Printer is installed on the Mac and she would like to share it with the XP machine.
Well I did some research and I ran across these steps to share a printer which I followed and got it to working but had some problems.

So I decided to go out and buy a USB print server, So I picked up a Hawking H-PS1U (http://www.hawkingtech.com/prodSpec.php?ProdID=132) With it installed the XP machine has no problem printing through the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP). Well I go to the Mac Machine to install the printer and went into the printer setup program and clicked add Printer. I selected http as my connection type and I come up to where I need to choose which printer I have but it doesnt have my printer in the selection.
So I try different ones I also tried just the generic and all I get is garbage ASCII text when I print. This would happen on a MS os when the right driver is not installed.
So how do I go about installing this driver? The HP cd and website only provide a executable file which installs its files no separate driver files. I have tried checking other in the selection which gives you the choice of looking on the Hard Drive for the drivers, but I have no clue where they are. I have also tried searching for them with Finder only I have no clue what to look for.
Well thats my Troubles in a nutshell.
If I failed to include some vital info just respond Ill try to get you the info.
OOOOHH Almost forgot to say in those steps I followed it had me go and update Cups and Ghost Scripts. Plus have tried messing around with the web printer interface located at http://127.0.0.1:631 but that didnt fix anything either.
THANKS,
