When I print a file to PDF does it embed the fonts? I have to submit a pdf file and they request that I have the fonts embedded, and I don't know if what I produce on the mac has embedded fonts. I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Also, if the fonts are not embedded automatically, is there a way I can embed them?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes there is a way. And the reason they ask for it that way is they may not have the fonts that you use, and their computers won't be able to display and print it correctly.

If you are using a design program, like Illustrator or InDesign, you can "outline" the fonts with a few very simple clicks.

If its MS Word, you can choose to embed TT fonts under the Tools>>options menu.

Do this before you PDF it and you'll be golden.
