Printer doesn't work anymore

For some reason, my Printer doesn't work anymore (image 1).
It uses 100% of the CPU but doesn't print (image 2).

I updated the printer drivers, didn't help.
I repaired permissions, didn't help.
I stopped jobs, erased jobs, restarted..., didn't help.

Does it have a utility that you can print a test page?

Yes, but it refuses. It pretends it is doing something else...

Plug it into one of your other Macs and see if they print or not. If they do, it's something with your computer... if they don't, it's a problem with the printer.

You weren't playing hockey with it or anything recently, were you?

Please forgive my dumb questions, but:

Did you unplug the printer?
Print test page using buttons on printer?
Use different USB cable?

I read a report on Macfixit or some other troubleshooting-related site that said that a few users that recently upgraded to 10.3.7 are having troubles with their printers (printer not printing, not printing expected image, etc.).

I'll try and dig up some links.

Thank you all for your help. The problem was.... the color cardridge ! Not empty, but for some reason it did not operate anymore, so the printer did not react at all anymore (tested on PC too), no error message, no nothing.

Back to the black cardridge.
