Printer not seeing OS9...but sees 10

Hello,
This is a question from a friend, she is not able to post at this time.
Anyhow, she is running OS9 & OS10 and a newly purchased printer will only print when she is using 10.
More specifically, when trying to print in Photoshop while in OS9, the printer is not available. But it all works fine in 10 ....???
Does this make sense to anyone?
I found a help topic that stated the following, not sure if this will fix it...

"This is caused by ATM 4.6x and Suitcase 9/10’s MenuFonts control panels, conflicting with one another. The way round this, is to rename the “~MenuFont“control panel to “~ MenuFont”, add a space between the ~ and M characters. Then reboot the Mac, the problem will then go away".

Not sure what this means, any help would be great.

Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike.

You need to supply a little more info.

What version of X is she running?

Did she select the printer in the Chooser while in OS 9?

What exactly happens when trying to print in OS 9?

Thanks Bob,
Without knowing exactly what versions she has, I can tell you that while in OS 9 there is no printer available! I guess meaning, there isn't an option to print anywhere.
All works fine in OS 10, but for some reason she has to print her Photoshop files in OS 9...?

I will try to get more info,

Thanks for the reply,
Mike
