printer prefs?

My epson 870 suddenly decided to stop working. I print and it starts to work then shows an exclamation point and gives a print error. The funny thing is it works fine if I log in as root. So my first thought was to trash the pref but.... unlike os9 it ist that easy. So does anyone know where epson stores its prefs? Or how to remove the printer completley from the sytem?

Have you tried unplugging it from it's USB port? My old Epson 740 used to do something similar, and I just had to plug it into a different USB port for it to work. Strange I tell ya.

yup I have tried that as well. Like I said it works fine if I log in as someone else

Applications > Utilities > Print Center

Select the printer and hit "Delete"

Then try to re-add it after a reboot or log out.
