Printer Problems

Hi,
I am running a HP psc 217 5xi all-in-one printer on my PowerBook G4. Every time I try to print anything I get an error message as follows.

The application PrinterProxy has unexpectedly quit.
The system and other applications have not been affected.

I have tried reinstalling the HP software/rebooting/unplugging/everything else you can think of. Please help,

Have you checked HP's site for updated drivers and software? I usually try and stay away from the drivers and software on the included CDs since they are usually behind in versions. I only use them when ABSOLUTELY necessary (no internet connection).
 
Try moving these Preference files to the desktop and restart;

com.apple.print.PrinterProxy.plist
com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist
com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist
