Printer settings problem on new iBook

I have just bought an iBook. I have it connected and working to my 2 printers: a normal inkjet (canon c86) and a photo printer (kodak printer dock 6000). The problem is that they, for obvious reasons, print on very different paper sizes but osX seems to store a single default paper size for all the printers. How can I make osX rember the different paper sizes for each printer?

Hi Sigfried and welcome to the forum.

How about saving a preset? When you print you can adjust the options and then click on the preset field to save it. Whenever you print, simply choose the preset..
Hope this will help.

You can use the CUPS printer manager to specify this. Open a browser and navigate to: http://localhost:631. (no period) You may or may not be prompted for a password. If you are, your OS X user and password should suffice. Now go to the "Printers" tab and you should see the printers you've configured in OS X. Choose "Configure Printer," and change "Media Size" to whatever you like. Unlike in OS X's print utility, this setting is printer-specific and your choice will not apply to your other printer. =)
