Printer Text Lighter After Tiger Install

After installing 10.4.2 on a Dual 800MHz G4, I immediately noticed that the text on MS Word documents was printing out lighter than it was in Panther. But printer output from other applications like Eudora is darker. It just seems to be the Office suite that is affected. Any ideas?
