printing from classic

I'm at work and we have all the newest hardware and software except that we are utilizing an 11 y.o. plotter for our posters. My hard drive recently crashed, and 1 other machine has the driver to talk to this machine from classic (there is nothing for this printer that's OSX compatible--it's too old and nobody will support it). Where do I look to see what is different from her machine and mine? I've been looking in OS9 System Folder/Extensions/Printer Descriptions but that's not it I don't think. HELP!! Thanks.

Drivers are extensions - they are either Chooser Extension or application and found in the Extensions folder.

What plotter is it? Maybe we know of OS X drivers.

gsahli is right... look in /System Folder/Extensions for an extension with the same name or model as the printer...

It's an Encad NovaJet 500. I actually was able to find a driver at Adobe.com that SAYS it only works with OS8, but it seems to give me all of the 'printer specific features' that I had before. I was able to get to it, but I would LOVE to not have to print from Quark 5 and to be able to de everything from OSX. If you know of any system 10 drivers for that model, please speak up. Thanks guys.

I'm curious - is your Novajet one of those with a built-in postscript RIP?
If it is, you can likely just use the PPD file in Classic's Extensions/Printer Descriptions to print from OS X.
