Printing Issues with Canon i250

I am not having any difficulty locating my printer or printing any pages whatsoever, however, when I try to check Ink Levels in BJPrinter Utility I get this Error Message:

Error Number 19:
Utility function cannot be used because the printer is performing processing. Make sure the printer has finished the processing, and try again.

I have stopped all jobs, even though there were none and tried few times. But each time I get the same Error. Can you please tell me what's wrong?

Check the print que, you may have jobs waiting to go to the printer ( macs get alittle confused) If there are any, clear the print jobs. If the printer is usb connected unplug then plugback in.
open printer setup utility, see if the printer can be seen.
Check the paper size for the job.
send another print job.
