Privileges

I just inistalled OS X over OS 9.1 and everything is looking good except... I keep getting a message that says i dont have enough access privileges. I'm the only user with Admin privileges. Whats up? I cant throw something in classic away. I cant move an application from my desktop to favorites folder. What gives? help. Ohh and incase anyone wants to know. I'm a gui guy. I dont know anything about UNIX or the command window.

Please help me out.

Theres actually a few threads about this around the boards.

the gist is that the files are "locked" and you must unlock them as root.
