Problem printing black from Word on Mac

Hi

I'm having trouble getting a Word document to print consistantly black, not greyscale, when in 'autocolour' mode. I have a doc that has colour and b&w pages and I need to log which pages are colour and which are black. I currently have to select individual pages so that I can set them to print specifically 'black' or 'autocolour'.
If I try to print with 'mixed report' and 'autocolour' selected, this logs on the printer which pages are black/colour, but randomly prints some black pages in greyscale? I must be doing something wrong, but don't know what else to try now!
Any ideas / suggestions very welcome!

Many thanks
Jo

What version of Word are you using on which version of OS X? what printer are you using?

I'm using an Oce Variolink 3622C
I suppose that there are production printers with programmable workflows that will do what you want. However, your printer is a sophisticated departmental digital copier with Postscript-clone printing, scanning, and faxing added [aka an all-in-one]. Printers like this do jobs on a document-by-document basis, not on a page-by-page basis. If you need to log pages by color, then you you will just have to do that "manually." Run all of the B&W pages, the grayscale pages, and the color pages and then compile the groups from separate groups.

BTW, just because you think that a page has no color does not mean that the page has no color. If the printer doesn't automatically select B&W, then it won't hurt you to select it manually.
