Problem reading JPG's on Windows Machine

When I import JPGs from my flash card to my G5, edit, then save everything is fine. I have software on a PC that I need to use to order photos from my lab. When I move the JPGs to the PC, the JPGs have 2 file # and the software can't read them. Am I missing a setting here?
 
Yup. A Mac file on a peecee disk will show up on the peecee as two
files with the same name. The file with a "." (period) prefix is for
metadata. In Mac OSX a period prefix makes a file invisible. Just
import the files that don't have a "." prefrix.
