Okay I did like five searches and I can't find a string telling me how to get VirtualPC 6 to sync with my Ipaq 5450 through ActiveSync, can anyone help?

Here's what I've done...I tried connecting my USB printer directly to my powerbook's port and without problem VPC recognized the connection and in a few minutes I was printing. So now I know that it does work. However what ever I do with the ipac I can't get my mac or VPC to recognize that it's there.

What am I doing wrong? Or not doing? Is there a correct procedure to get this connection to work?

Thanks.

I have no straight answer to this one and I'm sertainly not good with PCs..but I do have some suspiscions...

VirtualPC and all but, you're still running on a Mac.
I wouldn't be so sure about hooking up Compaq stuff to a Mac and run a sync without anykind of patch or extention for VirtualPC.

I'd probably send this question to the folx at VirtualPC workshop ;)

At any rate there usually are a patch or two to download when it comes to handhelds and puters before things run smoothly.

You said that it worked once but I've heard ppl. say that even if the handheld isn't suposed to or will futurwise.
Wierd mabye but it happens.

Just my two cents.

PS: you're not trying to hook up the Compac handheld with just apple OS, right? I doubt that you are but if you are...iPac runs W$ applications therefore naturally icompatible with Apples OS.

Palm handhelds goes better on macs since you just need the patch called "Missing Sync" and the application "Palm Desktop" for it to work.
