Problem with Audio Webcast

I recently asked for help with getting an audio webcast to play on my new MacBook. I was advised to install the Flip4Mac plug-in (and Perian) and everything worked fine.

Recently I installed Mac upgrades that automatically came to my MacBook. Then I tried to listen to an audio webcast but it would not play. Today I decided to go to Thompson which originates a lot of webcasts and try a different webcast. I played a video webcast. The video was fine but there was no sound.

I reinstalled the Flip4Mac but that didn't help and Perian says it is already installed.

I have a new MacBook with OS X 10.5.6

Hope you can help me.

Thanks,
Greg

No problem. If you launch Disk Utility (found in Macintosh HD-->Applications-->Utilities), there is an option to perform a "Repair Permissions' task to your hard drive. While it runs, it will give you output on what permissions have been repaired. I usually run it a second time to make sure that it's repaired everything.

There are also maintenance programs like OnyX and Yasu that can perform more tasks aside from repairing permissions. You can find them at the following links:

Make sure you download the appropriate one that pertains to your version of OS X. :)
