Problem with file/directory rights on 10.3.9

Hello, I recently add two new mac mini (10.4.3) in a network with a number of other mac and a xserv g5 (10.3.9), when one of the two new machine create a folder on the fileserver, they create it as read only for other people, even if user are in the same group. I've done the reparation of rights, nothing goes better. Is it possible to modify the way they create new folders?

Hum, I'm sorry, i'm not familiar with mac environement (I used to use linux one), what is WGM?

Edit : Ok it's Workgroup Manager, well, I've checked, but it's for every user the same and it works with other, so...

Have you checked the access rights for the share points and the way they propagate ?

What would you like to say? If I've checked that the main shared folder give all access to all users (and recursivly to all the subfolders), if that, that is the case.

That is part of it, but when you make a new folder, it permnissions will depend on the creator in general, not the parent folder. Normally you solve this by assigning different users to the same group, where the group permission determines whether an user can access / read / write in the map (or even a file).

You could check the permissions on the map and check if they are as expected.

Also there are 2 ways permissions are propagated by the OS. The way the permissions propagate might cause permissions to be restricted while not expected to be.
