Problem with iMac G4 Flat panel

Hi, i have a problem of switching on iMac G4. It does do anything at all when the switch is on.
It seems that i need to open get inside. But i read that this particular machines are very delicate and is easy to make things worse.
Can anyone knows where can i get hold of Service Manual?

Hello; It will be hard to find one online, as apple has shut down some of the better sites due to " copyright infrigment".You might be able to find one on ebay.If you need the manual in a hurry,I have it as a 4.6mb pdf file.Cannot send it along on this post due to its size,but if you have a email adress I can send it to I'll be glad to forward it along.

Do you think once i get to inside, should i be looking anything in particular?
The reason i ask this i think if nothing is happening when switch is on then perhaps something to do with power adaptor that is located inside. Do you think if Processor or Motherboard has gone should i be getting any sign of life, like sound, light etc?

You saved my life.
I did it as in that article and it works fine now. I was even thinking that i would never be able to bring it back and how to get the data from the hard drive.
