Problem with Kingston DataTraveler 1gig USB drive...

When I plug it into the laptop (specs to follow) it says The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer and asks me to Initialize, ignore or eject. I want to still use this with my Windows machine, so what do I do? TIA!!!

If you format it, that will completely erase it, so backup first.

Then you can use Disk Utility in your Utility folder to format it for Windows.

The Help Menu has all kinds of help info available.
 
I have the same problem and I do not any longer have a pc to put the files onto. i cannot access the files to back them up without reformatting it. Is there any way I can get a driver update... or extract my files?!
