Problem with Printer Sharing

I just bought a new imac last nite and networked it with the other PCs - everything works great except for Print Sharing. Its turned 'on' in System Preferences.

So, when I connect to the shared folder from my pc, i can see the printer folder but nothing is inside it! By the way, the printer is connected to the mac.

Anyways has any suggestions? I looked into the smb.conf file and the printer share were all commented out. Do I need to uncomment this? I tried, but I didnt have root privilidges even tho i am the admin!

Please help
 
From what i remember, you need a program like "Dave" inorder to get it to print from the pcs. You should be able to print from the mac if the printer is hooked into a pc. I looked into that back when 10.1 came out and that is basically what i needed. i dont know if they have changed that.

Ok, so what if I hook up the printer to the pc? are there any config issues on the mac that i need to take care off?

i didnt know this would be a problem...
