Problem with radio streaming

Must be.

Let me check again.

Yup. It does that. Feel free to worship me. :)

Meanwhile, I managed to disable my Flip4Mac. . . . Feh. Why I back up my HD everyday. . . .

I tried mikesradioworld.com but still couldn't get SGFM to play.

But, I did play around a little more and think I may have come up with a workaround. Just FYI, I'm running 10.4.11 and FF 3.03. I've tried Flip4Mac and WM with zero success on SGFM.

Here's my solution (I think): launch Quicktime Player. Go to File>Open URL and then type in the following: http://streaming.mediaworks.co.nz/solidgoldakl

That should get the station to play. Let me know if it works for you.

Typing http://www1.streaming.net.nz/meta/solid-gold-32.asx (or simply clicking on the link) into the QuickTime URL also results in connection with the NZ radio station stream ....

In the mikesradioworld.com link .... cilck on the 40 kbps link in the "Listen Live" column and you should be connected whereas clicking on the Solid Gold FM link leads to their website and you know what happens then .... ;)

My word, we're getting into complicated realms here. Sorry pjh that you couldn't connect directly from those links.
Okay, what did I do that made things work?
1. FFox 2.0.0.17 > Prefs > Feeds > Subscribe to the Feeds using > Choose Application > Quicktime Player
2. SysPrefs > Flip4Mac (too many settings to list here, but fiddle about - check back if you want, I can post screenshots)
3. As VT says, R-click on the transfer rate rather than the station name (I R-click only to get the station in a new tab - I prefer to toggle (Cmd-~) between tabs rather than use the back arrow).

PS. I wonder if the 'stuttering effect' may in fact be the playback exceeding the streaming rate. With one or two stations I click Pause to allow the feed to progress to a minute or two ahead of the playback. Incidentally, doing that allows you, the user, to skip or slide past any "Bad" music (to quote Dr X), or get past crappy, intrusive ads or banal and trite news items.

Sure does, well done! I wonder what the ChCh abbreviation is. ch and chc didn't work, invalid URL. Where did you get that SGFM url?

Edit: S'okay, answered my own question, all it took was a pair of eyes.
