Problems mounting disk images

When I download anything that is a .dmg file, I can't open it afterwards. A few times recently I've downloaded files that were .dmg.sit files, and they decompress just fine but when I open the .dmg file It goes through the usual process (verifying...checksumming...mounting) but no disk ever gets mounted anywhere.

Does anyone else have this problem? I've tried fixing permissions, "fisking" my OS, and even reinstalling Jaguar. Nothing works.

Try turning of the checksum.

See if it mounts.

I have not had a problem mounting any .dmg files.

Well, I'm not sure what was causing it, but I've gone back to using regular ol' Jaguar-point-zero. As near as I can figure, I had some hardware conflicts with newer versions of Jaguar. Everything seems to be running fine now...
