Problems Scanning Images onto MacBook Using Image Scan

When I try hitting the "Scan" button on the Canon, it just beeps at me.
But when I open Image Scan, the program scans and shows a preview of the document...
But then the "Scan" button at the bottom is greyed-out and there is no option to save the document to my computer.

Image Capture saves automatically....
But ... there is no option to save the document to my computer.
Image Capture saves each scanned image under the last name that you gave it. They are saved at the top level of your Pictures folder. How many files do you have at the top level the folder? Look at their names. Look at their dates. Look at their preview icons.It said that it saved as "Scan" and in my "Pictures" folder, but I see nothing...
