Problems using network printer connected through PC

I have an i-book running Mac OS X 10.4.3 and am trying to connect to a HP PSC 4101 All in One printer. The printer is shared through my desktop which is running Windows XP Prof. When I try to detect the printer over the wireless network, it is unable to find the printer. I have no problem connecting to the PC and transferring files. This is my first mac and I figure I am missing something obvious. I have installed the drivers for the printer also.

Hello Zabuza,

1. Have you checked if Printer Sharing has been "switched on" on your PC.
2. Have you installed the printer drivers on your Mac. Some printers are not compatible with the Mac. Check the HP website for your printer model to see if it's compatible.
3. Plug the printer directly to your iBook and see if it can recognize the printer. If it does then the problem is with the network settings.
