problems using web browsers

I have problems browsing the web
i have an ethernet connection(cable modem), all the internet applications i use works fine but any browse i try doesnt work, the just work for some time, but sometimes appears the message "the server could not be found" and then i have to restart to use the web again.
i call to my network administrator and they say i have all the settings fine.
I dont know what to do please help

the problem is most likely not your browser, but your modem and/or your isp. Despite many isp's claims they seem to go down for a short period every now and then and you must refresh your modem to get going again. I deal with this once or twice a month and normally just shutting down my modem and router for a minute clears it up. occasionally i need to restart the mac as well.
