I have a powerbook G3 and am running OS X. Recently, after having been away from the computer (closed, but still on) I find that the screen stays dark when i come back ot it, regardless of what i do.
The only thing that has worked is that I have been able to force start the computer (apple, control and power).. it seems to take a lot longer than usual and after awhile the screen goes dark again. Despite the darkness it is still somewhat opaque and when i see my screen saver come on, I can at that time press the light switch (just left of the powerbutton) and the light comes on. All seems fine until i want a break and leave my computer to rest. (no programs, just resting.)
I'm a total newbie as I'm sure you can tell...and would very much appreciate whatever suggestions you may have for me.
