problems with 10.2.x and odd size document printing

this is one of the reasons i am always so slow to move to the next system. i have spent most of this morning trying to print out a valentine's card for my lady. i have a custom card stock that measures 6.5" wide by 10" tall. But every time i go to print, it treats it like a us letter size and it prints out of alignment with much of it off of the page. i'm using appleworks but others report this as a universal problem.

i checked at apple discussion boards and others have been having this problem with 10.2 all along. i just switched to 10.2 a week ago. 10.2.4 obviously didn't fix this problem. has anyone else figured out how to fix this without using gimp print, which seems to work for some and not for others?

do you have classic installed?

i generally print in classic when its important and ive yet to have a prob... good luck

yea, booting into os 9 would be an option i guess, but i was hoping somebody has figured a better way.
