I live in Argentina. I just bought yesterday an used G3 clamshell iBook. It has been updated many times and barely used so it´s pretty much intact, fast and new. It runs with OS X now (it originally came with 9). I signed up for a new user account, as an administrator, and deleted the prior user. Maybe that was my mistake, as now I´m not allowed to modify the desktop or the house folder (it says I don´t have enough permissions in the dialog boxes that appear every time I try to open them, & the desktop info window says the same thing at the "Ownership & Permissions" tag).
Somebody please help me!
